My Work and Approach
I thrive on challenge.
I’m a UX Generalist and Product Design Leader who specializes in navigating complexity — particularly where data, policy, and real-world constraints collide. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve focused on designing systems that are usable, accessible, and trustworthy across education, workforce, and identity contexts for mission-driven non-profit and SAAS enterprise organizations.
I’m motivated by making sense of messy, real-world problems and turning them into intuitive, human-centered experiences. I’m especially drawn to understanding how people think, interpret information, and make decisions — and to helping teams move forward with clarity when the path isn’t obvious.
How I Work
I’m motivated by delivering real value — balancing user needs with timelines, budgets, technical constraints, and organizational realities. I believe strong design emerges through collaboration, critique, and shared ownership, not solo vision.
I’m comfortable leading teams, facilitating cross-functional alignment, or embedding as a hands-on contributor, depending on what the work requires. I value early feedback, clear communication, and pragmatic decision-making, and I’m not afraid to speak up when clarity, usability, or accessibility are at risk.
I don’t chase trends for their own sake. A polished interface fails if the underlying workflow, content, or accessibility isn’t well-formed — and that’s where I tend to focus my energy.
My strongest work sits at the intersection of:
Workforce, education, identity, and complex UX
Data visualization and decision-support tools
Design systems and cross-product consistency
Early-stage product definition through scaled delivery
These environments often involve multiple stakeholders, regulatory requirements, and incomplete or evolving data — conditions I’ve learned to navigate with clarity and care.
Over my career, I’ve worked across nonprofit, enterprise, and agency environments, including leadership roles at Jobs for the Future, Sterling Identity, and Vernier Software & Technology.
